Jake's 7th Birthday

Jake got a bicycle for his 7th Birthday from Mema and Papa. As you can see he loves to ride and do tricks. This is his look mom no feet trick. You can't convince him to try riding without the training wheels. He says no way, never. This ought to be interesting when he is a teenager. He had his birthday party at Bounce World, his choice. He had a blast, as all the kids did. They were all sweaty at the end. They had a bungee run that was very popular. Jake loved to run as hard as he could and then jump in the air so the bungee would yank him back (as pictured bottom left). One of Jake's dreams in life is to fly. It often frustrates him that he can't. He was all smiles about the Nintendo DS from mom and dad (upper left).

Grandpa Tharp's Place

We went up to see my dad in Dewey this weekend. We have never taken Jake up there, despite meaning to for years. He lives back in the hills and has dogs, cats, sheep and chickens. Jake had a great time. Grandpa also took him on a quad ride. As you can see by the picture that was Jake's favorite part. When they left grandpa was driving, but this is how they returned. We also hiked back into a canyon and let Jake shoot a kids size 22 rifle. He hit the target on the first shot, just like his mom.

The Super Bowl

I am a little late posting this. Jake has to be fair about everything. He never wants to upset anyone. So, on Super Bowl Sunday he wore both team jersey's.
